YUMMY Recipe

OK, so I don't really care all that much for chili, but my good friend Nikki made this chili for us some time back and I really liked it - I made it last night and it was YUMMY - give it a try - and it's not all that bad for you!

Turkey Chili -
1 pound ground turkey
Brown rice - instant or long cooking
1 tbsp olive oil
2 small onions
1 green pepper
2 tsp. Worcheshire sauce
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 - 15 oz can of kidney beans
2 - 14.5 oz cans of diced tomatoes (with chili's or spices)
2 - 5.5 oz cans of tomato juice
Chedder cheese

Chop the onions and pepper.  Heat the oil in a Dutch oven/large pan.  Brown the turkey with the onions and pepper - when brown, add all of the spices, washed and drained beans, tomatoes and tomato juice - bring to a boil, cover and lower heat to a simmer.  While cooking chili - prepare rice (depending on what kind, brown rice can take up to 45 mins to prepare).
To serve: spoon rice into a bowl, chili on top, cheese as desired, maybe some sour cream if you'd like - also, some nice crusty french/garlic bread goes well with this.

DELICIOUS!

I will like to try this, but what is kidney beans? Do you make the turkey in slices? Love Ingebjørg
