just call the Chief...

You don't know?  You're not sure?  You need someone to be seen...oh...YESTERDAY...  You have something to complain about?  You have someone to complain about?  Yes, well, then just call the Chief!    Or how about this one...you are wondering what to do about the dude who just died who had agreed to donate his brain to Alzheimer's research, only you know that the program has been discontinued without any further funding, but were still told to "call the chief" for each individual case...????WHAT - seriously?  Just when I think I have heard it all, the pager beeps again!

So, for those of you who are curious how our system works, I will fill you in.  So, my residency is 4 years.  there are 5 residents each year.  Our 4th year is our "chief" year where all 5 of us share extra administrative duties and spend 10 weeks on service supervising the junior residents and all of the stuff in the above paragraph.  So, I am currently the chief on service.  We are in the hospital from about 7:30 am to 5-ish PM during the week, then are on pager call overnight from home.  Then we work Sat AM and pager call until Sun AM, then off on Sundays.  It's really not so bad at all except when you're getting the 10th call similar to the above paragraph in a row.  The calls from junior residents are actually the best questions.  Really, though, it's kinda fun.

OK, with that out of the way - here are some recent pics of the kids.  They have taken a bath together in the "big tub" for the past 2 nights.  They both seem to really enjoy it.  Espen likes anything that has to do with his sister...  He splashes so hard that he completely soaks himself!  And most of the bathroom too.  He also army-crawls all over the place.  He does get up on his hands and knees, rocks back and forth a bit, then when he wants to take off, he lowers down to his forearms and crawls that way.  He gets everywhere and into everything.  God forbid that you walk into another room without him - he's hot on your trail.  He's also eating Cheerios like nobody's business as well!  They are endless fun.
Espen enjoys splashing all over the place - I might as well have been in the tub with them!

Happy Boy in the bath

They had so much fun
