Out for a walk earlier this fall in Highland Park
So much for my pathetic attempt to keep this up to date. How about if I make it one of the many New Year's resolutions I have? As you can all imagine, we have had a busy month with the holidays and all. Where to start...
Well, work, yeah, takes up a big chunk of my time...who would have thought...
Pregnancy - I am 19 weeks and feeling much better now. The nausea is gone and energy is returning (sort of). We had our "big-ultrasound" just today! Baby looked good, and as tempting as it was, we did not find out what the sex will be. Believe me, we were close!
Sofia - busy, busy, busy! She is very much still into the Wizard of Oz. She runs around quoting lines and singing songs from the movie. We took her to a Wizard of Oz play at one of the local colleges, which was absolutely WONDERFUL! Sofia was completely glued to the stage and thought it was fabulous. She is still talking about seeing the "nicked witch" (yes, nicked...) at the play.
Christmas - Was just lovely. We had my parents, sister, and her boyfriend here. Sofia really loved having them all here. Sofia got spoiled rotten, of course - the highlight being a huge bouncing horse which she has named "Rick". She also got the Wizard of Oz movie, some ruby red slippers, and an art easel which were also hits. Now that everyone has left, she asks daily, "when are Gramme and Grandpa coming back?". I know they are missing her as much too. There were plenty of other activities done while they were all here as well. Puppy-chow making, snowman making, sledding, coloring, painting, reading, playing games, going to Sofia's school christmas party....and lots and lots more. Gunner (Dana's dog) - even made a stand-in for Toto while he was here!
So, Now on to 2008 - I'm expecting it to be just as busy for some reason!
Here are some of the highlights - in pictures:
