We decided to take a couple of flower boxes out of the back yard which have been there since we moved in nearly 3 years ago. First summer, attempted to grow a garden there - veggies grew beautifully, however mutant squirrles ate them as fast as they grew. So much for that. Second summer (last summer) - Was a little nutz-o and occupied after having Espen, so mom planted some wildflowers and marigolds. This summer...did NOTHING - let the wild flowers try to come back. not very successful. So, we're sick of looking at them. Lars and Sofia took them apart and spread out the dirt then planted new grass seed. Espen helped a little too.
Pulling the boards apart.
Sofia helping to dig up the dirt.
Sofia pounding the nails.
Espen is ready to go in...naptime.
Oh-OH - the "girl hammer" (as Rich calls it) couldn't hold up to the "MAN'S work". Lars bust it! HA!
Espen was sick of working.
Tough work!
ahhh, now time to relax - with our friends, the K's.
Here is the newest play addition to the back yard - the sand box which you see was a big hit. SO much sand in the hair....wow. It was also strategically placed near the previous "lawn-chair patio" so we can chill while we keep an eye on them.......
